My prayer today is for peace and comfort to mourning mothers. Every fiber of my being prays that God will guide and protect my Abigail and her cousins, Ekata, Kelechi and Chinenye from every evil that lurks in this world.
Early this morning I was on my knees praying that God will walk beside these precious children and keep them safe from racial profiling, from racism of any kind, from sexism, from sexual predators, from bullying, from drugs and alcohol, from drunk drivers, from gun violence, from childhood illnesses, from any and everything that could break their spirit or cause them harm. I pray that we never have to bury our children. I pray that those who do, find comfort in the fact that their sweet child is resting with our Savior. I pray that any tears I shed over Abigail will be tears of joy and not tears of sorrow. Oh Lord hear my prayers.
|In this world, Jonathon and I are powerless to keep you safe from every potential harm, but we have dedicated you to the Lord and trust that your heavenly Father will do what your earthly parents can not.|
