The early bird gets the worm so we got there bright and early! While I picked blueberries and placed them in our bucket, Abby happily picked blueberries and placed them in her mouth. She probably ate her weight in fresh blueberries so I paid a little extra at the register to make up for all the blueberries in my sweet girl's belly! While in the blueberry fields I noticed that Abby quickly learned on her own the difference between ripe and unripe blueberries. Initially she was eating any berry her hands could grab, but once she realized that the red ones are sour and the blue ones are sweet she started selectively picking the blue ones. She is a smart girl and catches on to concepts quickly!
Once we got home we washed the blueberries and made blueberry muffins for breakfast. They were delish! Tomorrow we are going to make blueberry pancakes for breakfast. I love doing these fun educational outings with my daughter!
