My baby knows sign language!! I know that Ms. T has been "teaching" her how to sign for a while now but it never really hit me that she is retaining the information until two nights ago. I was feeding Abby dinner and she kept screeching when she wanted more. Not a very lady like habit! Each time she screeched I would say "Abby, if you are still hungry just say more, mommy." After a while I noticed that every time I said the word 'more' she was doing something with her hands. So I said "MORE" and she did the sign again for more. It was such an a-ha moment. I was so proud of her!!! She is LEARNING. My Abby made me a very proud mama at that moment!

How cute!! I think it's so awesome how easy it is for babies to retain so much information! They really are sponges!

ReplyDeleteApparently many kids learn sign language before they can speak verbally. It's a great tool.
