Her birthday is next month and I have spent way too much money on unnecessary things for her birthday, but I can't help myself. It's so fun to shop for her. I've never had a shopping problem before. Now I can't stop buying things for Abigail. I recently purchased a cute birthday dress from amazon.com and a personalized birthday onesie and hat from a shop on etsy.com that I am going to use for her first birthday photo shoot on January 26 with Red Bridge Photography. I have been searching pinterest and google for ideas for first birthday photo shoots. I have some good shots in mind. I can't wait!
In the spirit of New Years Resolutions, Jonathon and I decided to talk about about our travel plans for the next couple of years. We made the difficult decision that we will have to limit the number of weddings we attend as well as limit visits to Texas and Iowa so that we can go to the vacation destinations we have been longing to visit. 2010-2012 was full of weddings and we attended almost every wedding we were invited to. It looks like 2013 is shaping up to be another year full of weddings. Unfortunately we are going to have to prioritize which ones we attend because my vacation days as a resident are limited and so are our funds. Next month after Abby's birthday we will be sailing to the Caribbean for my college friends destination wedding. I am super excited about it. It will be a UT Austin reunion and I will get to see all the UT girls I love so dearly!!! Then in August my cousin is getting married in Atlanta. We can drive there for the weekend so we save on plane tickets and I don't have to use any vacation days! We plan on going to Iowa for Christmas this year and then next year going to Texas for Thanksgiving. Our big, much anticipated vacation will be in the Spring of 2014 to Costa Rica, which is a place we have both wanted to visit for a long time! Then for Abby's 3rd birthday in 2015 we plan on taking a family trip to Disney World. So there in a nut shell are our travel plans for the next 3 years!
Happy Belated New Year!
Abigail walking her way into 2013.
This was before we gave her a bath and put her to sleep on New Years Eve. We were all in bed by 9pm. No ringing in the New Year at midnight for the Mauritz household since I had to be at work by 6am!
OMG Amy, great minds do think alike. My hubby and I are going to Costa Rica in July to celebrate our anniversary. My mom volunteered to watch the kids so we figured we can go for more adventure this time
ReplyDeleteYour travel plans look pretty sweet and you definitely can't go to every wedding particularly when your vacation time is limited.
Happy New Year and cheers to 2013.
PS - Abby walking her way to 2013 is just so cute

She walks pretty well but for some reason she seemed really off balance in this video which I thought was adorable! My

I hope I don't disappoint! I keep having this nightmare that I take the wrong luggage to Houston and leave the luggage with all the birthday items in NC. Yikes!
